1. \u00a0download the latest minecraft_server.jar from\u00a0Minecraft’s website<\/a>\u00a0under the multiplayer server directory.<\/p>\n
2. \u00a0move it to an empty folder for your server.<\/p>\n
3. \u00a0open up text editor a similar text editor and create a new document.<\/p>\n
4. \u00a0go to\u00a0Format > Make Plain Text and copy the following. \u00a0you can change the amount of ram(change 1g to 2g) and you can add nogui to the end of it in order not to display there GUI<\/p>\n

6. \u00a0Open Terminal (in \/applications\/utilities\/Terminal).<\/p>\n
7. \u00a0type in,
chmod a+x<\/code> with space after it; drag and drop the start.command file into the terminal window; and then press enter.<\/p>\n8. \u00a0open the\u00a0start.command file and you will see a new window open up which will say “You need to agree to the EULA in order to run the server. Go to eula.txt for more info.”<\/p>\n
9. \u00a0in the folder with the .jar you will see a\u00a0eula.txt open it in text edit and change the line\u00a0eula=false to\u00a0eula=true and save it.<\/p>\n
10. \u00a0open the start.command and the server will start up.<\/p>\n
11. \u00a0if you want to turn\u00a0it off type stop and hit enter<\/p>\n
